Privacy Policy

RemixMyLife ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple user ID and, on first sign-in, your email address and name (if you choose to share them). We store this to identify your account and to deliver your daily remix.

Photos — selected only. We do not scan, index, or store your full photo library. Our app selects up to 30 photos from your device using entirely on-device processing. Only the single photo chosen for transformation on a given day is ever uploaded to our servers. After transformation is complete, the original photo is permanently deleted from our storage.

No face data collection. RemixMyLife does not perform facial recognition, face detection, face mapping, or any biometric analysis. We do not extract, isolate, or store face data from your photos. When a photo is transformed into art, the complete image is processed as a whole — faces are not identified, cropped, or analyzed separately. No face-specific data is collected, stored, or shared with any third party.

Photo metadata. For each photo selected for your queue, we store: the date it was taken, GPS coordinates (if present in the photo's EXIF data), whether it is marked as a Favorite in your library, and a quality score derived from its resolution. We never store image data for photos that are not selected.

Delivery preferences. Your chosen delivery time, timezone, and email address for receiving remixes.

Subscription status. Whether you are in a free trial, active subscription, or expired state. All payment processing is handled by Apple — we never see or store your payment information.

Usage data. Basic operational data such as when your daily remix was delivered. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

2. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party AI Data Sharing

RemixMyLife uses a third-party AI service to transform your photos into art. Before any photos are shared, we ask for your explicit consent within the app. Here is exactly what is shared and with whom:

What data is sent: When a photo is selected for your daily remix, the image pixel data and a text prompt describing the desired artistic style are sent to our AI transformation provider. No personal identifiers, names, email addresses, GPS coordinates, or other metadata are included in the data sent to the AI service.

Who receives the data: fal.ai (fal.ai, Inc.) is our sole AI transformation provider. fal.ai processes the image to apply the artistic style and returns the transformed result. fal.ai does not retain, store, or use your images after the transformation is complete. No facial recognition, face detection, or biometric analysis is performed. fal.ai Privacy Policy

How we obtain your consent: Before granting photo library access, you are asked to explicitly consent to sharing selected photos with fal.ai for artistic transformation. You may revoke photo access at any time in iOS Settings.

Data protection: We have confirmed that fal.ai provides the same or equal level of data protection as described in this Privacy Policy. All data sent to fal.ai is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS). fal.ai does not sell, share, or use your image data for any purpose other than performing the requested transformation.

4. Other Third-Party Services

In addition to fal.ai, we use the following services to operate RemixMyLife. Each provides the same or equal level of data protection as described in this Privacy Policy:

5. Data Retention

Transformed remix images are stored so you can view your gallery history in the app. Original photos uploaded for transformation are deleted immediately after the remix is generated. Photo metadata for selected photos is retained until you delete your account.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), California, or another jurisdiction with applicable privacy legislation, you may have additional rights. Please contact us to exercise them.

7. Children's Privacy

RemixMyLife is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted transit (TLS), row-level security policies on our database, and private storage buckets. No method of internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
